I wrote WaterColors to create a colorful musical journey for the listener. Each song on this album captures a human emotion, be it love, separation, personal loss or self worth. As you listen to each track, you will find that each word chosen and each instrument used has it's own unique way of contributing to the feeling of the song. As you listen to this album consider these songs individually. Taken separately, each song carries a different hue and shade of emotion. WaterColors in it's entirety fills the blank canvas of human emotion song by song. I hope you enjoy the album.

"Be Still My Heart" is the lead track from Ray Johnson's upcoming album release titled "WaterColors". "Be Still My Heart" captures the retro sounds of the 60s, blending the sounds of Motown R&B with the jangly pop sounds reminiscent of early British invasion commercial radio. A splendid piece of "nostalgia" to say the least.
